Tyus Jones keeps getting better
This is exactly what you want to see from a young player:
Year - PER/WS48/TS%/Net Rating:
Rookie - 11.2/.027/.450/-10.0
2nd Yr - 13.8/.096/.523/+2.5
3rd Yr - 13.1/.110/.538/+4.2
Love it! His PER has taken a dip because his usage (volume scoring) has gone down. But man, everything else is trending in the right direction.
I'm not sure what his ceiling is and perhaps he's even close to it, but even if this is it, I'll take it. He's become a very good backup PG.

Yep, I'm a fan. Poor man's Chris Paul. Too bad thibs doesn't use him and Teague together.

I've been impressed with his defense. Very solid. You can tell he works at his craft, unlike Wiggins.

I agree. Tyus has played well on both ends this season. He was already showing signs of being good on both ends last season. He's good enough to start on our team because we're not dependent on our PG to score. He runs the offensive much better than Teague because he's a natural PG and he's actually a step or two up from Teague defensively.

I'm not ready to go there yet, not that I think there isn't any merit to your statement. Teague plays "full-time" minutes against a murderer's row of elite starting NBA PGs. That is a hell of a tough job and very different from playing against backups for 15 minutes per night. And when Tyus did start, he didn't exactly have the toughest matchups.
That being said, let's cherish the fact we have some solid depth at one of our positions. And may be, just may be, Jones matures into a legit starting level PG some day. Given his age and b-ball IQ, it could very well happen.

Fair point, Q. I know I went a bit out on a limb, but not a very long limb in my view. :). My eye test gives me confidence in my extrapolation from his limited body of work. I'll note that he was even better as a starter than he's been coming off the bench. Compared, to Teague, he makes better use of his teammates, moves the ball much better and gives the offensive a faster pace. But as you noted, we haven't seen enough full-time minutes to be as definitive as I was in my post. :)

Yup, there are definitely glimmers that makes you want to see more of him with the starting unit.
I think Tyus's biggest issue is the ability to create offense off the dribble. He has a really low usage rate - unusually low for any NBA point guard - and defers to others to do a lot of the play making. For him to eventually be a starting caliber PG (outside of the Derek Fisher/Mario Chalmers caretaker role we saw with the Kobe and LeBron teams), he needs to be able to create offense out of nothing. Heck, even Rubio could occasionally figure out a way to get himself fouled and earn a trip to the line when everything else broke down.

Re: Tyus Jones keeps getting better
Tyus isn't aggressive enough to be better than Teague. When you run the PnR you need to be a scoring option and he doesn't take those shots most of the time when they are given to him. The ball movement looks better because he always looks for the pass and hardly ever his own shot so you have a guy out there just looking to move the ball when he gets it. Teague is more of the balance that a starting PG should have when it comes to aggressive play getting your shot and setting up a teammate. That's why he's always around 14-16 points and 6-8 assists. Tyus should be a primary offensive option on the second unit in the PnR and he just doesn't take advantage of it. Until he does I'd rather have Teague with the starters as another threat you have to take seriously. It's part of why Belly had been so much better this year and always a plus on the court. He's added great 3 Pt shooting to his ball movement so he's always a threat out there that has to start being accounted for.
