We expect far too much from our 21/22 year olds when they are already doing great things on the court. Step back for a minute and imagine any of the 3 at 24 years old.
We have our franchise players, and we have our franchise coach.
Patience is required for a couple more years.

I don't disagree with this at all. In a perfect world we could draft our guys, bring them along slowly and put them in situations where we know they can succeed. But then reality slaps us. You normally get two years either as a coach or a player to do something or you are out of the NBA. So instead of being spoon fed, top draft picks are normally thrown into the fire - ready or not. There is always an urgency to win and it's rare that an organization will just sit back and wait/hope vs. doing something. Even Sam Hinkie reached his limit at Philly. Eventually people get tired of "just wait until next year" and want to see results now! It's a tough business...
Re: Expectations
This post should have way more stats and insight. I am disappointed and am growing impatient.

Re: Expectations
The Future. While this is VERY logical, many of us have been waiting 20+ years. Seems every year is supposed to be better....but it's not. Many hung their hat on a mediocre .500 record at the end of last year that was supposed to be the launching off point (and low end expectation) for this team, thus the opTIMism. I for one have grown tired of the losing. I have watched this team from their inception, but I find myself less interested with each passing day. I just want to see progress. It doesn't have to amount to making the playoffs this season....but it also can't mean losing to a 76ers team that is arguably the worst team in the entire NBA....and they were missing virtually all of their good players. I don't see progress in their defense, team play or individual skills. It's just frustrating.
Re: Expectations
The problem is there isn't enough vet help. The good news is these young guys are getting a ton of experience and they are getting a chance to lead both on and off the court. I don't think not getting more vet help was by design but when they couldn't get the guys that were more of a difference makers they went for cheaper vet guys.
Will this strategy work out to develop the young players? I think ideally you would have a guy that's better than a Rush or Hill to lead guys but the Wolves didn't get that guy because they didn't target them or didn't want to pay them or the players picked other teams.
Again when it comes to expectations so many people seemed to assume the Wolves were clearly more talented than other young teams in the WC and I didn't think the gap was that large which was why I wasn't sure they were going Robbie able to reach the playoffs...but despite all the struggles they still have a shot.
I remember last year at this team this team was mired in losing. Sam and his staff were morons. Young players were not good enough, the old mentors magic potion wasn't working, the team was playing awful etc and...they came together and played plenty well enough to give plenty of hope for the future. I keep taking a wait and see approach for this season. There are plenty of questions still to be answered and plenty of time assess things further IMO.

They're gonna be a young team at 24 years old too. Does that mean they still have an excuse to lose?

Their oldest rotation player most of the season is 28 and the oldest starter 26. I think there is room for a sense of reality of their youth AND inexperience while not just giving them a free pass.
