Happy Birthday KAT! - Griz at Wolves GDT
Happy Birthday KAT! - Griz at Wolves GDT
And I bet I know what KAT wants for his birthday... a WIN!!!
I'm jumping back into the GDT fray, although it may be premature if Rubio -- listed as questionable -- doesn't play. The Griz have really struggled, and I am not sure exactly why. Hopefully we are not the cure for what ails them!
So no more 19-year old records for KAT. He's had a good run. Lets get his 20s run off to a good start!

You're still the MVP of the GDT crowd with your Bulls and Heat upsets, Tim, although Q acquitted himself well in that Indy game. Try it again sometime, q...you're a promising rookie!
Memphis is not a very good team this year, but they are favored by 3 on our court for one reason...Ricky uncertainty. Memphis is 4-6, and only a last-second tip-in prevented them from losing their 5th game in a row Friday night. Their main problem...they can't shoot the basketball. Dead last in FG% and 3-point percentage. But there are other issues too...they are near the bottom of the league in rebound differential. And they're not even a good defensive team this year...dead last in 3-point % allowed and near the bottom of the league in FG% allowed. You out all those stats together, and it's surprising that they are even 4-6. It's not a very strong 4-6 though, with a win over Indy the only victory over a team with a winning record, and a horrible point differential that is only exceeded by the 76ers. Without a doubt, things aren't very good in Memphis.
I think we're all looking forward to the KAT/Gasol matchup. Maybe I'm drinking the kool aid too much here, but I think Towns will do just fine against Gasol.
But unfortunately the Wolves don't win without Ricky, and his questionable status tells me he probably doesn't suit up again. If he surprises us and plays, I think the Wolves put it all together and win by 15 today. He probably doesn't though, and the woeful Grizzlies prevail in an ugly game 92-90.

oh man without iron horse again, do we really start 0-5 at home?
Re: Happy Birthday KAT! - Griz at Wolves GDT
Ugh! No Rubio again. Eventually the wins will start coming our way, even without Rubio.
Unlike most, I still don't where I fall in the "Zach at PG" debate. I see both sides of the coin, the coin is rolling, and only time will tell which side the coin will fall down on...

I haven't watched the past two games, yet. But I get the feeling the team is ready to break out with or without Rubio.

If Zach and Andre keep playing like the did the last 2 games then yeah they will break through.

Conley draws 2 quicks ones on Zach. Zach is quick, but not when he's put on skates defensively because of Conley's handle.

So is anybody still going with the idea that they're just being cautious with Rubio?

Nope. He's proven to be unreliable thus far. Can't have a guy like that when this team makes the playoffs. Oh wait, we just gave him 60 million bucks. Crap.

Why isn't Wiggins guarding Conley and put Miller, Zach, Tyus etc. on Allen? He can't beat you off the dribble at all no matter who you put on him. That's the kind of simple adjustment a good coach makes.
