dangelo russell to the wolves?
http://en.yibada.com/articles/101735/20160130/lakers-rumors-central-d-angelo-russell-linked-to-bulls-4-more-teams-lou-williams-roy-hibbert-on-block-as-well.htm
Wolves one of 4 teams listed. Wonder what it would take to get him. I would do a deal around bazz for him.

Re: dangelo russell to the wolves?
Discussions would likely center around the Wolves lottery pick. So question becomes is DAngelo better than what the Wolves can draft? Hard to say at this point. Does he fit with Zach and Wig?
Re: dangelo russell to the wolves?
I dont' understand this article in relation to Russell. Why would the lakers trade with Minny or Philly? They would be getting back players that need to develop as well. I can see Utah for Hayward or Favors, or maybe Phoenix for Bledsoe, but even the chicago idea doesn't really make sense. I think of the five listed, only PHO makes sense for both teams.

I think the discussions would center around Rubio.

Re: dangelo russell to the wolves?
I'd take Russell, but I'm not giving up Towns, Wiggins or Lavine for him. I'd probably trade our pick for him also as long as it's not top 3 just because I think you can get more for a top 3 pick than just Russell. I think he'd fit fine next to Lavine and Wiggins because he's still a good playmaker and his shooting would be nice at PG for us.
Re: dangelo russell to the wolves?
Isn't Russell a defensive liability? I know he's been playing pretty well in a bench role, against bench players, but I do wonder if you're not giving up significant defense in order to gain offense with a Rubio for Russell swap. I don't follow college BB so I couldn't offer any opinion in terms of Russell's value vs. a top 3-5 pick in the next draft.
Another question I would have is, assuming all of KAT, Wiggins, Lavine, and Russell excel good luck keeping that core together as they all come off their rookie contracts over two years!

Not sure he's much of a defender AND he hasn't exactly shot it well from outside. Do we really want to roll the dice that he'll "get it" at some point, especially with the Wolves, where shooters go to die?
Not worth it in my opinion. If we are looking for a new PG, let's not take a step backwards, only to cross our fingers that eventually Russell becomes good. Let's just draft Kris Dunn.

Do you hear yourself? Dunn is just as big of a risk as Russell if you want to go that route. Would you have taken Dunn over Russell in the draft last year? I know most would not have so Dunn shouldn't be thought of as a better option now.

I am reacting to a Rubio for Russell swap. We can keep Rubio AND draft Dunn.

Re: dangelo russell to the wolves?
What I wouldn't give up for Russell: KAT, Wiggins, Zach, Rubio, Dieng and our 1st round pick. I don't think Lakers would trade Russell without getting one of those assets, so I sure hope we don't trade for Russell.
