If Rubio

Averages 15 to 18 PPG, 10 Ast and controls the offense [finally]. . .Do you change your wins prediction?

It killed me when Adelman started taking the ball out of Ricky hands but I guess his lack of shooting confidence warranted it (for him). Fran Fraschilla said it best that a coach needs to give Ricky the ball and get out of his way. Ricky looked like a man who is going to make good on his declaration that he needs to get this team to the playoffs.

Lastly, I absolutely loved the way Clarkson tried to bully Ricky and Ricky went about his business like he wasn't there .

Sure. With the league's 3rd best PG running the team, I imagine they'd improve a lot. Especially since the top two PGs will probably be on 55 or 60 win teams.

Agree on all points Phenom. He's kind of like Peyton Manning, he knows more than coach about what's going on out there.

Choose wisely. You only get one bump and I have the luxury of waiting you out.

Good question, phenom. There's probably a little "knee-jerk" in many of us this morning after Ricky's best career performance last night, but I also think there is a lot of "Rubio injury worries" and "can he learn to shoot" in many of our predictions.

But I think the answer to your question is yes, especially IF he puts up those numbers in 75+ games. If he does that and we don't suffer a rash of other key injuries, playoffs are not out of the question for this team. Yes, playoffs. It's time for some of the teams predicted to finish ahead of us to have some of our injury luck, and for us to have theirs. Take the Pelicans for instance. Every forecast has them ahead of us, but they are 0-2 and banged up with the kind of injuries that look like they might linger. They are a really bad team right now with key guys banged up. A few more instances like that, and this talented roster is in the hunt. IF Ricky stays healthy.

If Rubio stays healthy (please please I hope he is) even shooting 42% from the floor and 35% from 3 and scoring 14 ppg and the team stays sorta healthy they could be in the playoff hunt most of the season. They wouldn't make it but they would be hanging around. He looked good last night but I feel the stats above are reasonable excited positive predictions except I think he could easily shoot a higher percentage from 3. Last night for one night he looked more like Tony Parker than say Rondo.

15 to 18 PPG? Come on now. What if Towns grows another arm out of his ass? Let's slow down a wee bit

well my perspective is that yesterday Ricky had PER like 45 and we needed every single bit of that production to beat probably the bottom 3 team in the NBA, trailing as much as 16 and Lou missing one of the easiest uncontested shots to close the game ever .. btw. we made 38 field goals Ricky made 10 of those, so it is 28 left and he assisted 14 of them .. thats insane

so to the question if Ricky leaps to 15-18/10 i would up my prediction by about 12 wins to 36wins

He would be a better defender, but he would have a hard time taking a dump or getting a date.
