I got this - Wolves at Bulls GDT
Am I expecting a win? Not really, even though we are undefeated on the road. But if the defense is solid and we start making shots, the Wolves could sneak out with a win.
But I am really looking forward to seeing progress. I want to see a solid defensive effort. If KMart is unavailable, I want to see Miller at backup PG and Zach at backup SG. And I want to see the Wiggins-KAT show to start taking shape -- something that really hasn't taken hold, yet. I want to see Belly find a groove. I want to see Rubio play more than 24 minutes (AP guy wondered if Rubio was feeling ill last game...).
Early game today at 5:00.

Thanks for stepping up in this difficult to win game, Tim. I have a little break in my day this afternoon here in LA and am going to sneak over to a sports bar and check this one out. With Martin out, I also expect to see Miller backing up Ricky and Zach backing up Wig. But as I mentioned in another thread, I also think Tyus will suit up and get in a few minutes.
The board has been calling for Zach to move to SG, so it will be interesting to see if he can step up. I still prefer the Wig/Martin combo at the 2, but with Martin out, I think Zach had move over there.
I've blown my prediction for the last three games, so maybe this prediction might make some of you hopeful. Bulls 102-94.

From Robson: Opponents score 107.7 pts per 100 possessions when he (Martin) plays, but only 88.0 pp100 when he sits. Two thoughts: 1) the 88 pp100 is yet another endorsement for how well our starters are jelling on defense, and 2) wow...that's a huge differential! And yes, I get that the players out there with Kevin contribute to that 107.7 also.
I love Kevin's ability to score and actually thought he was working harder on defense this year. But those defensive stats through 4 games are impossible to overlook. Any offensive performance within his capability can't overcome what is happening on the other end of the court when he is out there this year.

Zgoda's article about Hoiberg's decision to leave Iowa St. Fred says what I said a number of times about how much more family-friendly and limited NBA coaching is compared to college coaching. I think sometimes we lose sight of how hard these college coaches are working in the off-season compared to the pro coaches. That combined with the better money in the NBA made it a no-brainer that a guy like Fred would bolt for the pros as soon as he got an offer. I wish Flip and Glen had pounced first...I think Fred has the potential to be a terrific NBA coach.

Todd Gak will start tonight too for the forum, but his games could be numbered.

Gonna be tough to win today but at the very least it would be nice to see Wiggins have a good game. Will also be interesting to see if KAT lives up to his words of basically saying if his shots aren't going in one game the next game look out.

If we are up 20+ in the 4th quarter, Tyus can have all the burn he wants! ;-)

There is a better chance he'll be literally lit on fire than the Wolves will be up 20 in the 4th.

I know guys, but that's unfortunate. He had a great preseason and he's a better pg than lavine.
