Milt Newton

Ok so at this point Milt is the main guy if there is one making personal decisions until something changes. I think most Wolves fans don't really have a lot of confidence in him but I also don't think most people know his resume or what he has done up to this point. I am not suggesting he is the guy I want as the top guy running this franchise I don't think he is ready for that or has the personna but I do see him having some pretty worthwhile basketball experience. I feel like he is a guy that may be plenty good to have around. He isn't an idiot when it comes to basketball and basketball operations. I see him as a guy that's going to collaborate to come to a decision which is probably a good thing. Flip got lots of feedback from EVERYONE even Lip lol but that included his own staff. Milt doesn't seem like a guy that's gonna go rouge and do a bunch of crazy stuff. He seems like a moderately comforting placeholder at least.

Well yes probably. You know what it seems to me the bottom line of Kahn's undoing was? Ego. It seems he either couldn't hire smart basketball people or couldn't keep them or listen to them and the later was likely why he couldn't keep them. He talked himself up as a collaborator but from what I can gather it just doesn't seem to be the case maybe at all. Maybe Milt is some ego driven dude but he just doesn't come off that way. Kahn always came off as having an ego. Kahn could sell something and I think was actually a smart business guy. It just seems like he turned out to be an asshole and he clearly wasn't good enough at what he did to overcome all that.

I have no idea what to think of Milt Newton. He doesn't seem like a particularly shrewd front office executive, but I honestly don't know that much about him.
