Interesting

Minnesota recently reached out to Mudiay and its front office laid out a vision for a roster with him, Andrew Wiggins and Zach LaVine, sources said

I wonder if they are considering a trade.

They probably just had to give him a good enough reason to take the workout. If they said they wanted to work him out, but Ricky is our guy why would he even show?

Agreed Khans. Either way though I'm sure they're covering all angles just in case.

If Ia m Mudiay I show up because I think I can prove I am the best player. If I am the Wolves I want him to show up if I am thinking I can trade up or down. There is not a scenario I see where we pick him 1st.

If I am a GM I tell him I see you maybe being a Westbrook type player. If you become that type of guy we will obviouly get you on the floor (you could even just go small with Wiggins at the 4 Lavine at 3 and Rubio as the other guard) If I am Mudiay I workout for just about anyone especially the team picking #1 and bet on myself create some sick hype.

If I am a GM I ask him if he thinks he is the best player and should go #1. And if he feels he is then come in and prove it.

Although I am pro workouts, this is definitely the mentality that leads to bad choices based on a workout. I don't think a workout should be such a positive for a guy it gets him taken #1 overall.

Yep but I would say what Bleed said exactly. I would want Mudiay to work out for me if possible. If nothing else due diligence. Spielman says they like to get workouts before the draft of nothing else so they have something to go on for down the road in FA. It makes a lot of sense.

If I am the GM I keep it simple. We have the #1 pick. I am taking the best player regardless. I am not saying I see you fit in like this when you have a PG you just signed to a big contract. It is not a good move. That is why I say this is a move by us is about some type of trade.
