Fork in the Road Redux - Jazz at Wolves GDT

Post by 60WinTim »

I did the "fork in the road" theme early in December against Portland when the Wolves were beginning a stretch of winnable games. Were they going to grab one of those playoff seeds and hang on to it? Or were they going to let it slip through their fingers and be on the outside looking in? They chose the wrong fork and have remained on the outside looking in. :-(

So after playing an inspired game against the Spurs, the Wolves are confronted with another "fork in the road". Seven West teams are in the playoff mix. The Lakers are a lost cause. And the Wolves along with the rest of the West teams are bunched together within a couple games, vying for that 8th spot. Utah is atop that bunch, and the Wolves host them tonight. The fork in the road.

A loss tonight is a step down the road leading to the Lakers. A win tonight is a step towards the playoffs. The Wolves chose poorly at the last fork. They need to choose more wisely at this fork. Wolves win!

Wolves are 3 games out of the playoffs now, but will be 2 games out after they destroy the wounded Jazz. Exum, Gobert and Burks all out, and Favors may not play because of back spasms that benched him Monday. Still Vegas insults us by making us just a 1-point favorite...it's an outrage! Tay/Wig shut out Hayward, Ricky shows us why we didn't want Burke, and the Wolves win 194-32.

Uh, let's wait and see if we actually win the game before you go down that path!

Apathy setting in with Kenny. Maybe I should change to Jimmy.

Not only have the Wolves only won four home games this season, the largest margin of victory in any of those four games was 5 points. How sad is that?!?

Enough of that jazz. Lets win big tonight!

Okay, here's some pessimism...

Favors is out tonight as well. So now this has turned into a "trap" game for the Wolves!
