Breaking down the minutes per Player Thread - Preseason Healthy Edition

Post by bleedspeed »

PG: Rubio - 36, Miller - 12 (Jones in d-league)
SG: Wiggins 24, LaVine 24
SF: Shabazz - 24, Wiggins 12, Prince 12
PF: Bjeclia - 28, KG 20 (Payne in d-league)
C: Towns 28, Dieng 20 (Pek hurt)

Sam can start who he wants but I would like to see minutes divide up like this.

Crap. Forgot about him. There is not enough minutes on this team for him and Prince.

At least at the beginning, I think Zach is going to be the guy who gets short changed.

I think Bazz and Zach will share the pain...

But I think it will vary based on who is playing well. If K-Mart, or others, are struggling, maybe Zach and/or Bazz see a few more minutes. It seems Wiggins split between SG and SF will roughly 50/50...

We have a D-league team?!?!? Sweet!

This breakdown just shows how tough it is to find minutes and how Sam has a tough job. Heck take Prince out of the equation and you still have a crunch for playing time.

Also you forgot Ruduz. lol No don't worry I didn't expect you to give him any minutes in the breakdown.

PG: Rubio 30, Tyus 12, LaVine 4, Miller 2
SG: Wiggins 10, Martin 20, LaVine 16
SF: Bazz 22, Wiggins 22, Prince 4
PF: KG 12, Bjelica 20, Dieng 6, Rudez 5, Payne 5
C: Towns 26, Dieng 22 (Pek injured)

That was surprisingly difficult.

-I'm assuming they cut LoBrow, which I will kind of regret. He's a good on-the-ball perimeter defender on a team that doesn't have many.

-I'm also assuming Sam will go with a shorter rotation than the one I've laid out here, which is more of yearly averages. If I were the coach, Miller, Prince, Rudez, and Payne would all get DNP-CDs for stretches this season, and I'd increase or reduce other player's minutes based on development and team performance.

-Pek's return (?) will raise some issues.

You see, I thought Bleed just forgot to say in his initial post that Martin was out with back spasms or [name your physical ailment].

I actually think when or if Martin gets traded (or hurt - one of the two are inevitable!), Bleed's post would pretty much be how I'd do things.

Lol, I feel like you leave either martin or shabazz out of every one of these lineup threads.
