I didn't realize how much Towns looked up to Durant until I did some digging. I love that he has looked to Durant for advice and is modeling aspects of his game after him.
As a high school freshman, Karl interviewed Durant. http://www.msgvarsity.com/karl-towns-interviews-kevin-durant-1.978054
Here are some articles while Karl was in high school where Durant was mentioned:
(Karl Towns Jr. is the eighth-grade version of his idol, Kevin Durant. Despite being towering figures, they both thrive on the perimeter. "I try to remodel his style," says Towns ...
"But I try to make it my own style," Towns adds. "I take some of the good bits I like about him and put it in my game.")

("As a competitor I want to be the best in all aspects. There's not one thing that I only want to improve in my game. I want to be the best shooter, the best dribbler, the best rebounder. I want to be the best in everything," Towns said in an interview with ESPNDeportes.com...In the meantime, Towns dreams of reaching the heights of his idol, Kevin Durant)

(Already a legitimate 6'11 and 225lbs, Towns has an unbelievable skill set where he runs the floor and plays like a big man, yet has amazingly advanced ball-handling skills and can shoot the 3 with an alarming amount of distance and accuracy, which draws the instant comparison to Durant. )

I am not sure it is possible to be more excited about Towns and this team. Does Flip let him shoot the three?

I think Flip will want Towns to focus on his post game initially as Calipari did, but yeah I think Flip will slowly unleash the perimeter game. Flip mentioned his versatility and didn't seem to hold Love back, so I think its just a matter of time.

I wonder if we should bring Rambis back to mold Towns like he turned Love into a superstar. He would even be able to give Jones some tough love like he gave Flynn. Just think how awesome Curry would be if he got some guidance from Zen-lite.
