Damn, that's a lot of dough for a part-timer.

I was probably living in a fantasy land hoping he'd take vet min. Hopefully he's half the mentor he's made out to be, then it might be worth it.

It's not like his contract is going to hinder us the next two years. It's not my money so I don't care at all. With so many of our key guys on cheap rookie deals I don't see this being any sort of cap killing contract.

Not in theory, but say the team blows up this year and were healthy and players are taking steps forward, unless Pek recovers nicely, we got about $20 wrapped up in him and KG. So it's not all about this for me, and I suppose my hypothetical situation is very optimistic. (Meaning that's money that could be used elsewhere)

Also, isn't next year the year the cap is suppose to sky rocket?

They aren't going to be looking for that final piece next year so who cares? Let KG have his money, he'll be off the books two summers from now when most of us expect this team to be contending or close to it.

We've spent more than that on current part timers .
Martin-part timer
Pek- part timer
Rubio-part timer

Kinda like how VP Saunders did the coaching search himself?

Hopefully the youth have KG and KMart coming off the bench this season, or next at the least. After that they both come off the books opening up over $15M and Pek if he's still here will be an expiring contract. Of course that'll be the year they have to sign Wiggins and Lavine to matching $200M contracts.

When Glen has to sign those matching contracts he will be 76 years old and be worth close to $3 billion. If the players are worth it, Luxury tax be damned, he'll give them the money. you can't take it with you!
