Are we talking about the "Next Michael Jordan"? He was with us for six years and every year he carried the team to the playoffs. I think this franchise has only made it to the playoffs twice without AP.

My favorite Peeler moment was when he elbow punched KG in the stomach and made him double over. I think a lot of guys wanted to do that to KG at one time or another, but Peeler who supposedly was great friends with him actually did it. Bravo Peels!

AP! Back in the old espn boards, there where constant accusations that he has incriminating info/evidence/pictures of flip and he uses it to blackmail flip into playing him a ton. Never proven to this day though....

On a serious note. AP was a 3 and d guy before it became cool to be a 3 and d guy. If he where playing now, he might be getting pain 10m a year! ..

Okay, seriously about 5m a year guy in the current market..

Peeler was the Luke Ridnour/JJ Barea guy that people disliked because he had to play a bigger role than he could fulfill. It was a pretty good little deal getting him for Doug West.

I have the best Peeler story ever, and it doesn't really involve him:

I was in college, and a friend and I went downtown bar called "The Cowboy". I had never been there, and my friend said it was a great place to see "retired Minnesota athletes, or active ones with one foot out the door".

We walk in, and hey look everyone, it's Gino Toretta!

We are there about 10 minutes, and in walks Doug West. He must have drank 12 Lite Beers (from Miller!) in about an hour.

Next day, traded to Vancouver for Peeler. Like he said, one foot out the door.
