I feel so bad for Peterson. You would think he may have been able to find some of solace in his job today, but instead everything is compounded by the egg the team lays today. I think the Vikes should make him take some time for himself, like the rest of the season. I think any reputable boss/profession would suggest the same for someone who has been through what he has this last week. There are going to be lingering issues for him regardless of the emotional and spiritual resources he has available to him. So sad.

The team is even worse then I expected them to be last year. As for Peterson, as tragic as the situation is he just found out about the kid this week so I don't think there is any way that it as emotionally devastating now as it would have been had he known the child, or likely as traumatic as it will be in the coming weeks and months. I tend to think he would be more numb to it right now than hurt, but that will come.
