Goliath just got hit by a slingshot

Post by Q12543 [enjin:6621299] »

Wow, Milwaukee winning fairly handily against Golden State, giving them their first loss of the year. You better believe Popovich and the rest of the league will be all over that game tape. Was it just tired legs by Curry and Thompson? Or did Milwaukee do something different? My guess is that it was just tired legs after that Boston win.

AP guy threw out a couple weeks ago as the game the streak would end. Dude knows his stuff. Lol Jalen Rose was saying the other day there are basically scheduling losses in the NBA where you play back to backs and not much time to recover from one game to another. GS wasn't going 82-0 so it was gonna end sometime.

Edit:

Also losing is probably in unacceptable so I expect they will fire Luke Walton tomorrow. Lol

i made quite a bit of money on this one :-) 7th away game in a row, B2B after double overtime

But Bucks are very very tough match up for GSW imho, Warriors are not exploiting Bucks main weaknesses which is undersized front court which cannot defend and lack of rebounding, but Bucks have ton of length in backcourt so it does not matter who switches on Curry or Thompson basically, also Bucks are young in general so they can keep high energy whole game and run up and down with GSW without many issues, btw. Bucks imho made similar mistake to what we did with Love and PEK, no rim protection and their bigs even rebound much worse

GS was missing H. Barnes, probably didn't arrive in MIL until very early in the morning after playing double OT game against BOS which also took its toll on the champs. More than anything MIL is one of the few teams that can match up well with GS small ball strategy that they use to gain advantages on so many nights. It was a good streak but the real question is can they beat the Bulls single season record 72-10?

Jalen Rose stole my material!

Or, I stole his. I've been claiming there are "scheduled losses" in the NBA for awhile now. The game with GSW is a classic example of one, as noted.

The best teams win MORE of those types of games... but they aren't going to win all of them.

[Note: Nice action mgor. I wish I bet on games...]

Now that you mention it I do remember you mentioning the types of scheduling losses Rose was talking about. I don't always take Rose seriously but what I like about him is he has a perspective of a player and he keeps it as that. Other former players turn more into analysts of the sport when they become part of the media and many do it well. What is fun about Rose is he has basically kept/keeps the perspective of a guy that just finished playing and kept that perspective of a player and how a player veiws everything. Of course he doesn't speak for how all former or current players see things but it's interesting. I think a little bit unique but that's how you could describe Rose too. Lol I probably sound like a huge Jalen Rose fan but I also think he says a bunch of stuff I either think is sorta dumb or don't agree with also.

I watched the game and came away feeling that Milwaukee played extremely hard, and the Warriors couldn't match the intensity the Bucks came with. Both teams were coming off a back to back with travel, but the Bucks had the home crowd and the motivation to end the streak. Klay Thompson didn't have a good game and that hurt GS. But more than anything it was a case of the Warriors having little left at the end of a 7 game road swing. It will be interesting to see how GS performs in the next one. I will be taking their opponent plus the points no matter what. I actually bet against the Warriors for the first time last night and it paid off. They've been good to me as I've been riding their winning streak for most of the season.
