I don't think I could handle being a 76ers fan...
Philadephia's four highest paid players aren't even playing for the team this season:
Javale McGee - $12M
Gerald Wallace - $10M
Carl Landry - $6M
Joel Embiid - $4.6M
They're also paying something called Furkin Aldemir $3M. But I don't think he's on the roster either.
Top 6 for minutes in Philly's last game:
Jerami Grant - $885k
TJ McConnell - $523k
Isiah Canaan - $816k
Robert Covington - $1M
Nerlens Noel - $3.5M
Jahil Okafor- $4.6M

Yeah, that's rough. Probably the only situation that can make us Wolves fans feel fortunate.

Always a lot of pressure on teams to beat these other teams with nothing to play for. Hopefully KMart can up his trade value in the next 20 games.

Okafor has to walk a fine line for the 6ers, he has to show promise in the interest of their fans mental health, yet he has to do so while not making the team measurably better so as not to negatively affect their draft lottery position. Throughout the incompetence that has ruled over the Wolves for most of the last decade plus they were at least kind enough to pretend they were trying to get better.

well, Hinkie really made sure that Sixers will be last this year, it will up their chances to land Lakers pick aswell, if i am Sixers fan i would just watch NCAA and that is about it, cuz watching 82 games of Sixers i would probably have to cut my D off or something :-)

With that said IF they get the first pick and get simmons and they get the Lakers pick if out of top 3. If saric comes over they would have something going, that is a big if though

At most that would be a medium sized if, maybe even a slightly below average sized if.

The Hinkie experiment is not going well.
The Sixers under Hinkie remind me a little bit of Amazon (yes, the company). To investors they deferred profit in order to plow money into their business with the implied message that at some point - if folks would just be patient enough - they would be able to unleash a major profit-making machine. Investors bought into it and it's hard to disagree with them.
I'm not sure Sixers fans are buying into this anymore.....

I think they still are... at least many of them are. The Promise of Hope is a powerful drug... even when it's not much more than a clever way for a GM to keep his lucrative job longer.
Question for Lip or other season ticket holders...
What are your thoughts on Philly? More specifically... the team's desire to lose while still charging you thousands of dollars for those seats. Their reply... don't like it? Don't buy the tickets. Seems like a slap in the face to a loyal fanbase if you ask me. Especially since the best way to keep good seats is to keep paying for those seats, right?
What are your thoughts?

The a Okafor pick is a pretty good example of the 6ers in a way. They are lucky to get a talented player but he goes against everything they want to do as a franchise. He doesn't play D and I don't sense they really value elite low post scorers plus he doesn't fit with Noel who might not be a scorer but could be a guy you build a defense around. So...it feels like Okafor is a really nice trade chip but for what? More draft picks? At some point you would think you can't just continue to defer assets you have to build something.
