The end of an era, but the beginning of another?
The NBA is in a great state of flux. Miami is on it's way down. San Antonio and Dallas are not getting any younger. Indiana has serious problems in the lockerroom. Perennial conference bottom-dwellers like Golden State and the Clippers have serious potential, but haven't produced results to back it. Who will be the next great team? My pick? Houston. They have the best shooting guard in the game, a center with elite defensive abilities, and a small forward that oozes promise. Who do you see possibly taking the leap to San Antonio or Miami status the next couple years?

Chicago once they get Melo and keep Gibson, Butler. Hopefully Rose comes back to at least 80% of what he once was.

Cleveland, once they trade us Waiters and Bennett for Love, draft Embiid, and lure an unhappy LeBron back home.
Embiid
Love
James
Karasev
Irving

LST's pessimism about the package we'll get for Love is brutal to keep reading. It hurts actually.

Flip won't be President of Basketball Operations for long if that trade goes down

I am not counting San Antonio out yet. They might have one more left if they can stay healthy, but their reign will soon end and I think OKC will have their time in the sun. I don't think they have peaked yet and could have a nice run if their Big 3 stays healthy. All they need is to improve their bench and I think that will happen.
