Okafor is pretty easy to gauge, a serge Ibaka would be fantastic, but I have no idea was the ideal PF would be next to Towns, I haven't seen enough of him.

I'll likely get disagreed with here, but I'd plug Towns in at power forward next to Pek or Dieng, or Garnett if he's still here. Towns can play either PF or C. He's pretty mobile for a guy of his size.

That's 1 big reason he's more valuable to the Wolves.

Kevin Love is going to be available. How 'bout BJeleca next to Towns?

I think with Okafor we already have KG, AP and moving Dieng down to the 4 occasionally works. With Towns we'll need a little more bulk and offensive firepower which right now we pretty much only have AB in theory who can play that role. Ideally next to Towns you'd have a Randolph or Love and ideally next to Okafor you'd have an Ibaka or Millsap. I think we have several guys who give you something in the realm of option 2 and nobody who fits option 1 (a very big maybe in AB).

If we land Towns or Okafor, the thought should be they will be a star some day. Both have the tools to be very good offensively. Defense there are question marks.

Two vet PFs that are still reasonably young and will be unrestricted free agents next season are Lavoy Allen and Kyle O'Quinn. Both are solid, lunchpail type PFs that know their role and play good defense. And they probably won't cost much. Both would be solid vets that could do a lot of the dirty work and play smart basketball while Towns or Okafor learn the ropes.

Of course, our problem is we have a massive logjam at PF right now. Payne, Bennett, and most likely KG will all be under contract next season. And I've argued here before that Dieng's best position is PF. He's under contract too. I guess the best we can hope for is that a guy like Payne eventually becomes as good as Allen or O'Quinn defensively.

If you can get a PF who plays lights out defense and rebounds the crap out of the ball, then pick Okafor. As for who that is, no clue.

Anyone know John Henson's situation? He seems like a guy who rebounds and blocks shots well while being very efficient on offense when he starts.
