LeBron Opts Out
LeBron Opts Out
Just announced that LeBron is opting out of the last year of his contract with Miami. Is a return to Cleveland possible? The Cavs will have the cap space after July 1. If so, I would think that dealing Love to the Cavs for #1 and other assets seems very realistic.

You have absolutely no idea what Lebron will or won't do. How often do you think the players actually even communicate with the owners. Lebron is going to do what works best for Lebron, and I doubt the owner has anything to do with it.

Absolutely right, SJM. LeBron will go where he thinks he has the best chance to win championships and will also consider the community he wants to play in. Teaming with Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love in Cleveland would make the Cavs an Eastern Conference powerhouse. And LeBron loves Cleveland/Akron. He lives there in the off-season and is very active in that community.

Re: LeBron Opts Out
well i dont know where he goes, but this early announcement might give CLE time to prepare some nice packages including draft pick no.1 esp. now when Embiid is not an option at 1, so i would say that there is a chance
Re: LeBron Opts Out
I said a few weeks ago in my mind and to a couple other people here are my percentages of where Lebron goes.
60% Miami
30% Cleveland
10% The rest of the league
I think the chance he goes back to miami is a little less now and the other options have grown a little. Lebron still loves Cleveland and it makes sense basketballwise whether they make any moves to bring him there or not. Like its been said he lives there etc. Gilbert is a moron but I don't think that will completely keep Lebron from going back. I do think that's a negative factor though no doubt. I think people forget about Lebron may go to the Cavs so he can hang out with his new Cleveland buddy Manziel. Lol
Like my percentages show I think its Cavs or Heat. I think the Heat win out because Wade and Bosh are gonna cave and sign for less so they can add more talent because do either of those guys want to be stuck in Miami without Lebron? No. They would be left with a team lacking talent and maybe some backlash of the. weight of Lebron leaving because they didn't take a paycut. Spolstra is a big factor as well. Its gonna be interesting.
EDIT: I forgot to add I am also hoping he goes back to Cleveland.
