SLATER SCOOP: Minnesota Timberwolves' Taurean Prince was arrested on a fugitive warrant this evening at Miami International Airport, multiple sources tell me.

The warrant is from Texas regarding "dangerous drugs," I'm told.

Wow. Never would have expected anything like that with Taurean. That's a big blow to the Wolves if it means we lose him for the season.

If true, that is so discouraging. So far there's nothing out there I've seen except Slater's report, but my initial reaction is it's not good. Prince is reputed to be one of our locker room leaders, and if this is true, he's not exactly setting a good example.

Based on the state laws down there it is almost certainly prescription meds he wasn't prescribed like Xanax or Adderall.

The report I read quoted trace amount of dangerous drugs found in his vehicle. It looks like dangerous drugs in Texas are pharmaceuticals either prescibed (which makes no sense) or unprescribed per a Texas defense attorney's web-ad i read. If he had less that 28 grams (significantly more than trace amounts) he would charged with a Class A misdemeanor. It feels like, based on the reports, any decent attorney should be able to crush this case in most states, but this is Texas, it is 1951, and Taurean is black so we can only hope for the best.
