Re: Malik Beasley S&T?
If the Wolves are able to get any kind of value for him that would be really something. I wondered if this might be a possibility as things unfolded. The Knicks are a team that it would make some sense to go after a guy like Beasley they need some more perimeter talent and have some money to spend.

While I think the drafting of Edwards paves the way to move on from Beasley, he did do something we are still missing on the rest of the roster: He's a stone cold sniper from the outside. Ricky certainly doesn't solve that and Edwards can get shots off but his accuracy isn't there yet.
We need someone else that can make 3s besides DLO and KAT!

I don't know why you're so deadset against the team's best and most prolific three point shooter being its center or PF almost every single season... for a decade.
We're zigging while everybody else is zagging.
[Edit: Please change "zagging" to "winning."]

Surprisingly, Ricky shot 3s at 36.1% which is almost as good as DLO did last year. But I think Juancho is a bit better than both of them with 3s. Jmac also shot over 38%. But we only have two elite 3 point shooters and they are Beasley and KAT. Nowell has some potential there too if his college and G League numbers can translate.

No doubt that Ricky is a more reliable 3-point shooter than he was in his earlier years with Minnesota. Still....he doesn't shoot them in high volume and I certainly don't trust he's going to maintain 35%+. I think he is an improved threat, but not a highly reliable threat.
Beasley on the other hand....that guy gets them up and creates a gravitational pull Rubio can't create from the outside.

Julius Randle would be pretty sweet.

Ricky only shot 3 a game though so does making 1 3 a game at a league average clip make you a 3pt shooter? Meanwhile D Lo makes as many 3's a game as Ricky takes. You have to actually shoot the ball to be considered a good shooter.

I have to disagree with you on this one, Randle is grossly overpaid and not that good.
