KAT below Luka, Ben Simmons, and Gobert at 18. He didn't seem very happy on the gram today, but that may have been because ESPN also put Westbrook's picture next to KAT's name. I guess he's going to have to get us in the playoffs to be considered a top 15 player in the league by the worldwide leader. I hope those aren't trade rumors I hear, I expect the clock starts on his exit if we don't make a leap this year.

They're the Timberwolves, the clock starts as soon as they make the pick.

Re: ESPN Rank
ESPN will be banging the drum on any eventual trade rumors. For the record... the rag put CJ McCollum at #13...
... ummmm...
But hey, uproar about the list got me to click on espn.com. So the marketing strategy worked. Nice job, ESPN. I guess.
[Note: Of course, ESPN even touts its own contrived stat (RPM) like it's part of the ranking or something, even though it seems to have nothing to do with it. KAT has about a 10 RPM and McCollum a 3. ]

Personally I don't give a F about these rankings. He was #13 in SI's rankings. Whatever. He was in the top 20 on Both lists that's not like he is considered some chump.
ESPN does bother me but there are some good folks over there too. Can't wait for even moderately meaningless preseason games instead of some of this mostly meaningless to me offseason content. Thanks for listening...

I think it's fine that we don't care, why would we after all this time? I do think the players care about their pub via espn though. Which makes exercises like this frustrating.

Yep, its not a big thing, but KAT will see that he is ranked behind a guy who has never made an all star team or all nba team because Mccollum has had good playoff success. Remember KAT missed out on millions because he plays for the wolves and the perception of him is skewed because he didn't make the playoffs.
These list have some merit because media members can affect how much money they can actually make.

They put Klay at 49. The rankings are a joke. He's either top 10 or off the list depending if you are grading him healthy or hurt.

KAT is a better player than Luka and Simmons, more impactful to team wins. Gobert could be close for me, he's so dominate on the D that he makes that whole defense legitimate. I think KAT is slightly better as well. Call me a homer.

I'll take Luka for him straight up right now.
