Nice!! I'm all for Dunn. Love what I saw from him in limited minutes. Can't see him not working his ass off on his game during the offseason too.

Yup, not to mention the loose handles and errant passes.

But he does stuff that literally no one else on the team does in terms of his ability to fight over, around, and through screens. None of our perimeter players do it as well as he does. Plus he is one of our better weak side defenders, which is actually kinda pathetic and impressive at the same time.

Can't argue with you there. He's an anomaly in our lineup.

Post all-star Dunn FG 40.4% And 3p 33.3%. It's only 25 games but he did trend the right direction as the season went on. He looked more confident and comfortable taking 3's regardless if they were going in. Offensively the most encouraging part of his game was that floater. It looked very legit.

Another thing that I like about Dunn that hasn't been mentioned here is the guy plays big and tough.

What we don't know is how much Dunn's hard work and al that will lend to him improving his offensive game. Maybe he never does but I think he will get some better.

Dunn's progression could be a game-changer from within for the Wolves. No question he does important things that no one else on our roster does. He does look like a potentially elite defender. He shot looks horrible, including free throw shooting, and that scares me. But shooting is one of those skills that can improve a lot after a player arrives in the NBA. It's things like rebounding, shot-blocking, ball-handling and hustle that rarely improve substantially at this level. While Dunn's handle needs work, it doesn't look bad. Just needs some tightening and that degree of improvement isn't rare.

One thing that became clear this past season is that Dunn can play the SG position defensively. If his shot improves, he can get significant minutes on the floor with Ricky. That would be a really nice defensive backcourt.

Lip especially since you get to see Dunn in person I would like to hear ypur breakdown of what is broken or horrible about his jumper mechanically.

Several problems with Dunn's shot, Monster. His form is inconsistent and shaky. More often than not, he doesn't square up and fails to follow-through. His shots are all moon-shots, the sort of shot that tends to be inaccurate. Ricky's shot has historically lacked arc, but even his flat shot seems to track from his hand to the hoop. Ricky's shooting potential has always been apparent in his very high free throw accuracy. Recently, as Ricky has increased his arc a bit and started squaring up better, we've seen his shot improve. Watching Dunn's free throw shooting, I don't see any sort of base from which I can see major improvement in his shot. Nevertheless, I'm a firm believer that any player can significantly improve his shooting, even when they're in their early 20s. Given Dunn's work ethic, I actually do expect him to improve his shooting. It's just a matter of how much and how fast.
