WTF is deal with the trade rumors!? "Wolves not in a good place internally "...
Re: KAT
Unfortunately, it's not BS. I friend of mind heard from a reliable inside source with the Bulls organization that Thibodeau really is shopping KAT. It's the same source who told my friend about the Butler deal a month before it happened.
Re: KAT
I'm sure most have read the report of the heated altercation between Thibs and Layden last week. One person tweeted it and another confirmed it but contradicted the claim that a computer was thrown through a glass window. Then you have both Doogie and Jon K reporting poor communication and disarray in the front office, including Thibs' failure to form any relationships internally. Watching Thibs scream incessantly from the bench and his constant hand twitch, you can't help but conclude that he has issues. Let's not forget that the Bulls fired him in spite of the team winning.
I've seen enough smoke to conclude there's fire. Speaking of fire, I'd fire Thibs if I were Glen. I'm not wavering or equivocated on that anymore. He has to go.

I will add that both Wolfson and Jon K said they have not heard anything to substantiate that computer/Layden/Thibs incident. They aren't saying it didn't happen but Jon K said "If I had something to report I would"

Thanks for the info. I still wouldn't lose any sleep over the idea of the Wolves moving Towns. The return would have to be massive. I don't see anyone stepping up with that kind of deal.

Welp, there it is. I have finally jumped on the Fire Thibs bandwagon as of today

Re: KAT
Glen has to know you fire Thibs before letting KAT go. "Unless" you get back something back that was worth it. Anthony Davis. All Star player plus multiple 1sts. I just don't see why anyone would do that unless they are also having issues with their own players.
More things seem to point at Thibs being a problem, only being able to coach certain types of people that can deal with his yelling and negativity. It's just too much for some, I'm sure of it.

Re: KAT
I get the Doogie disparaging, and agree that we should take what he reports with a grain of salt. But in all fairness, the guy works hard, and I would say 90% of what he reports has at least some truth to it...this isn't Charlie Walters we're talking about. Further, what in Thibs' personality and past behavior would lead people to believe that there isn't trouble in paradise within the Wolves' organization? And what about his comments about KAT during the Houston series would lead anyone to believe he's not dissatisfied with KAT?
Lip's report is interesting, and convinces me Thibs is talking to other teams about KAT. I'm not going to categorically reject the idea of moving him...trading him to Boston for 2-3 of their young studs might not be the worst deal. But a whole lot of me says these Boston studs are performing so well because of Stevens, and conversely, that KAT hasn't quite reached his potential on both sides of the court because of Thibs. Trade KAT for Tatum and Irving, and watch KAT become MVP and Tatum/Irving regress. Count on it.
I have not wavered in my opinion that Thibs is holding back potentially the best roster in the NBA and that he needs to be replaced. If something is going to happen, it needs to happen soon...the draft is quickly approaching, and a new coach needs to time to evaluate who best can supplement this roster. The Pistons move on eating Van Gundy's contract followed by Toronto firing a COY who had led them to 59 wins gives me some hope that Taylor now has the political cover to do what his instincts are telling him to do...get rid of this guy right now. Perhaps the discord with the GM and others within the organization plus the rumors of his coach shopping KAT are just the incentive for Glen to make a move that will really propel this team to the next level. Come on Glen...it's your move.
