And last year the rookies selected Jabari Parker as best career and ROY...and we're stuck with some clown named Wiggins. Will we ever get it right?

I think it's perfectly reasonable to predict that Okafor will win ROY. He and Noel are an excellent combination because Okafor will get a bunch of touches on offense and Noel is a rim protector on defense while Okafor eats up space. He's also more physically ready for the NBA.
I think it will take a couple of years before Towns puts it all together with this year having a few rough spots.

No thanks to Hack-a-for. I'm thrilled we got Karlito.

Which of those rookies will in 25 years becomes an NBAS GM and become the butt of jokes about their talent evaluation? We need to bump this thread then. Lol

One of things KAT has going against him in the eyes of idiots who don't really follow the sport they are involved in is that he only played 20 mpg at UK. And some dullards on teams that got bounced from the tourney early (...or didn't make the tourney, ....or have no idea what the tourney is) will think that he must have some sort of issue other than simply being on a stacked team.
I'm with Monster. Let us go through and see who the Ozzie Newsome and/or Steve Yzerman and/or Pete Rose of the group is.
Hmm. Not seeing him yet, but I do have darkhorse candidates for the Matt Millen and/or Bill Russell and/or Elgin Baylor of the group.

Re: Should have taken Okafor
In all seriousness these are fun to look at and like LST said these guys likely know each other's game etc. it's hard to take this too seriously though because the sample size (36) is pretty small and some guys can't vote for other guys themselves etc. A vote here or there could change the percentages quite a bit. There may be a couple interesting things to consider from these surveys but mostly I think they are entertaining. I am not saying these rookies are dumb or anything with their votes but I am not gonna be too swayed by them either.

Absolutely ridiculous type of poll. I wouldn't trust most 19 year old basketball players to know when it was ok to cross the street. They are almost all dumb, naive and really really dumb.
To be fair about last year's pick of Parker... remember, there are A LOT of people pretty confident that he'd have won ROY if he remained healthy.

I don't disagree that most 19-year-old basketball stars are pretty dumb about most things...I'm not likely to engage them in a conversation about quantum physics or comparative philosophies. But they do know basketball, and they have spent a lot of time in gyms with their peers, so I think they know them better than anyone. I'll take a peer player's opinion over that of Chad Ford or Bill Simmons any day.
That's why I'm somewhat heartened that the guys that have seen him up close most over the past 5-6 years rank Tyus Jones as the second best playmaker in the draft, and as the second best steal of the draft. But then I'm equally concerned that Karl Anthony didn't get one vote for best defensive player.
