Wolves are figuring out how to get the most out of their current young guys, should they be investing time in revitalizing a troubled players career too? Not sure I like the baggage he brings. I thought he was gonna be a heck of a player at one time tho.

I would entertain him in a heartbeat. Honestly, even if it takes time to get him back into the lineup, his talent level is off the charts. Need a shake up.

Meh.
Sanders has had one good NBA season. And it was FOUR years ago:
9.8 ppg / 9.5 reb / 2.8 blk. Then, he got paid. He's played 50 games since... with his production plummeting. But wait... there's more:
Read what he wrote at the time he "retired." There's some eerie similarities there with local boy, Royce White. "I'm Larry Sanders. I'm a person. I'm a father. I'm an artist. I'm a writer. I'm a painter. I'm a musician. And sometimes I play basketball."
He didn't start playing hoops until he was 16 years old. He stopped playing hoops less than a decade later because he didn't like it. Did he ever like it? Think about the desire/passion/investment other players have to make to succeed in the league. It's hard work, all year long, to improve. Do you really think he digs it enough to make that kind of sacrifice? Or do you think he digs the money enough to make ENOUGH of a sacrifice to get back in the league?
One other note, like White, he opened up about his battles with anxiety and depression and mood swings. And he's been in trouble on the court, off the court, and in the locker room.
There's a decent chance that he's simply a cross between Royce White with the promise of Javale McGee. Put him around 3 of the youngest, most promising players in the league? Makes me uneasy...

We're not that desperate. We're going to have money in the offseason. Let's put our efforts elsewhere.

He's Royce White 2.0. He wants another paycheck to fund the shit he actually cares about. Stay far away.

Sign Saunders and trade for Melo.

If we were going to take a flyer on someone questionable then I'd prefer to reach out to josh smith who is over in China. At least we know he loves basketball.
I have no respect for Sanders. He wants to come back to the game but not to the team he quit on and literally stole $ from? They agreed to a buyout with him and are paying him 1.9 mil per year through 2022. The league should step in and say " if you want to come back to the league then you can go play for the bucks through 2022."
Fuck Larry Sanders.
