I don't have ESPN Insider anymore, but I wonder what is suggested in this article from Joe Kaiser. I think we need to trade D-Will before it's too late. Every minute he rots away on the bench, his trade value goes further and furhter down the toile

It doesn't really say anything other than to bring up the point that a DNP-CD at this point in his career is probably pointing to him being on the way out. The trade fits mentioned are Utah and Charlotte and I don't see what we could get from either of those teams that would benefit us other than a first round pick in this year's draft guaranteed.

Re: ESPN Insider Article About D-Will
For those wondering:
Just a week after Minnesota exercised the fourth-year option on Derrick Williams, guaranteeing the former No. 2 overall pick $6.3 million in 2014-15, Wednesday's season-opener presented the first chance for everyone to see how much of a role Williams would play on this year's Timberwolves team.
Leading up to the game, many wondered if by shedding 20 pounds over the offseason Williams would become a more vital part of the rotation at small forward, even if in a bench role behind Corey Brewer. Shockingly, though, Williams didn't even get in the game. How frustrated was he by that, and how could his new contract affect his value on the trade market this season? Lets take a look.
Jerry Zgoda of the Star Tribune asked Williams about the DNP-CD, specifically how long he can remain patient with his career on the line. According to Zgoda, Williams said he's been patient for two years. If that's not revealing, I don't know what is. After Wednesday's game, Wolves coach Rick Adelman attributed Williams not getting in the game to matchups, saying that he went to three guards since that's what Orlando was using.
But that may not be enough of an explanation to keep Williams happy as he heads into such an important season. If Williams' role continues to be limited and tensions grow between he and the team, don't be surprised if he again finds himself as the center of trade rumors this season.
While it's doubtful that a contender would trade for him given the financial ramifications, it's possible that a rebuilding team like Utah which severely lacks depth could go after him, banking on Williams blossoming over the next two seasons in a new environment. Charlotte is another team in need of further offensive help in the frontcourt, both at the 3 and 4, and could be a viable trade partner.

I found an insider article on Deron Williams, and just assume that was the one reference above. I see it's not. My bad.
