A look at the end of JAN starts with another win against the Jazz?

Post by Loose Goose [enjin:8265301] »

This MN team seems like it can lose any game, so I'm not going to count this road game as a win already.

Best case scenario we win against the Jazz & the team shoot's well and establishes confidence and gets ready for a hard 5 final games of JAN.
@GS
@POR
@CHI
NO
MEM

Build confidence, run hot & maybe creep back into the playoff picture.

Lose a few close ones, perform poorly & reality starts to sink in.

That reality: MN just ins't a playoff team with the current roster, coach & K. Love leaving is just a matter of time.

What's your take? How does MN finish JAN?

Will people still be talking about MN playoff hopes in FEB?

I think some sort of change is required to change the results we've been having. No changes? No playoffs!

The thread I started about predicting our record by the end of January proved one thing...I don't know how to predict what this team is going to do. They have underachieved in ways that I, and much of the national media, could not have foreseen. But I'll take a shot at your question.

I know this has been said before, but it's make or break time for this club. While I see little chance of us beating Portland or GS on their floors, I think 2 or 3 of the other games are going to be very close, you know...decided by (sound the suspense trumpets) 4 points or less. And you know our record in close games. If the Wolves were able to win all four of those games (the 2 home games and Utah and Chicago), we would be back to .500 and there would be a glimmer of playoff hopes alive...especially because we would have finally shown some character and won a couple nailbiters.

I'm not very optimistic. I think we go 2-4, and nobody feels very good about playoffs as we flip the calendar page. But don't listen to me...this squad has be baffled.

I will be at the Portland game. So I expect to take all the credit for their turnaround if they win.

We'll only give you the credit if you also agree to take the blame if (when) they lose. Can there be a worse situation for the Wolves...playing a better team on the back end of a road BTB, after having destroyed them a few weeks earlier? You may be drinking heavily by halftime.

May be? I will be either way. I am excited to see this game. They have run out of excuses for getting up for games by now. I think/hope it will be some good basketball.
