there have been 3 times since march that the NBA has come out and said that there was an officiating error against the wolves,
Love against the Mavs
Ricky against the lakers
and JJ against the Heat.
Thats just what the NBA has admitted to. We all know that there's been a lot more bogus calls on top of that. And not just against our wolves, but other teams in the NBA as well. Hell the term "star treatment" is just an excuse for refs to be terrible! It's not just in the NBA! The NFL has come out and said it's made errors against the Vikings and other teams.
People were outraged about the replacement officials in the NFL that they were screwing up so much. I really haven't noticed a difference between them and the regular officials.
It seems like officiating in sports has been beyond bad for years now. It might be because they are just that bad or maybe it's just that we have more access to technology that points out more flaws.
Whenever bad calls are made people will always say "well you shouldn't of been in that position in the first place!" I call bogus. An officials job is maintain the game and make sure it's played fairly. They should never be the reason an outcome in decided.
So what to do? It just seems to me like with the technology we have available, the current structure of officiating in sports is very outdated. We need to take the control out of these old farts in their 60's or people who just aren't qualified into a less human element. It's asinine that most officials in sports make a 100 grand a year or more.
what should be done about officiating?

Nothing much you can do really. Refs are human and will make mistakes. Even the Love non-call, how often do we here talk about swallowing the whistle to close out a close game? Most fans think the refs tilt against their team, and I'm sure they tilt in favor of the big market teams or the super duper stars, those are the things that should be addressed. But even then bad calls, just like bad shots, passes and the like will always remain part of any sport.

i think this was really stupid by officials, Love is taking shot and ball goes to the crowd on absolute ridiculous angle, defender is not high enough to contest/block shot and none of officials bother to check video .. like WTF :-D

Did you guys forget about last year's Knicks game? Where JR Smith should have been thrown out and Melo was constantly fouling down the 4th quarter stretch? I know this isn't one the NBA came out and talked about, but it was still pretty obvious.
Re: what should be done about officiating?
U know whats always bothered me about officiating , reffiing and umpiring? No matter how much they Eff up they never have to own up to it or answer questions bout it. If a Qb throws 4 picks he'll find himself at a table in front of the media having to explain himself.
Why cant we see these pukes sit in from of the lights and cameras and give us some explanations. Must be nice to be able to make mistakes and not be accountable. I understand human error is part of the game but sometimes calls or noncalls are so blatant it should require reasoning.
