I am disappointed you didn't include the 12 mil for Pek. I have higher expectations for him than he is providing. His rebounding has been subpar in my opinion, especially on the offensive end. And his scoring efficiency has also been lacking.

Now I know he has a ton of offensive rebounds. But my eyeballs have seen far too many woulda-shoulda-couldas in the rebounding department. And I am happy his efficiency is improving, but again, for 12 frickin' million dollars he has got to dominate in the one-and-only area he can dominate.

It is a combination of many really, but I went with the bench's play. We have the worst performing bench in the league. That would hurt any team!

Tim, I hear what you are saying about wanting Pek to play better, but his stats are so similar to last year (the biggest difference being the + 1.5 FTAs) that i chose not to. I think that you are right that expectations have gone up due to the contract.

I voted Team Leadership. Improved leadership would result in a better road record.

I voted quality of bench play. There were a lot of talk this off season about the need to add depth in case of injuries and how we did that but right now, we have have 8 regular rotation players including robbie hummel.

Dw and shved has been total disappointments. 2 guys that has the potential to be keys to the team not showing up and regressing. Bud and turiaf injuries hurt. We know that barea will be up and down but so far he has more down than up. Dante's mid range game is not what it was the past 2 seasons for him. Bazz and dieng arent ready to play rotation minutes. Hummel is a nice 11-15th guy being forced to play as the 8th man because we dont have a much better option ahead of him. We dont have a bench guy with the exception of barea that has value for us currently to trade for a guy that can be a rotational bench guy.

The answer's bench play. I thought going into this year that our bench would be a strength. Boy was I wrong on that one.

I think Pek's been good for us, but I think he can be better. Wouldn't say he'd be on a negative list at all, though. Making over half of his shots. Playing good/great post defense and getting a good amount of boards even though Love is snatching down several away from him. His numbers should continue an upwards trend.

I said road record. Good teams have to win their fair share of games on the road and we have lost to some really lackluster teams on the road: Washington, Cleveland, Denver, and Houston (w/o Harden).

The bench is obviously a problem, but then again, we are without Turiaf and Budinger, two guys that would have been part of our top 7 or 8-man rotation if healthy.

The poor play of the bench really stands out for me. When the reserves beat up the starters in Mankato, I bought into the narrative that we were a deep team. I still think we are and that the bench will come around to at least be average, but right now they are terrible.

Q, I agree that our bench will improve with Bud and Turiaf. If they stay healthy, I think they will pretty much "fix" our bench issues.

Right now we are a "average/mildly below average" road team. We will not be a "good" team until we improve that aspect of our play.
