Last year's draft was advertised as a weak one, and it looks like the experts were right. There really aren't many rookies that are positively impacting their teams.
I would argue that the only rookie that has significantly outperformed expectations is Carter-Williams, and that he is the clear front runner for ROY. Oladipo is sure fun to watch and I still think he will be a future star, but he's shooting under 40% and turning the ball over more than four times a game. All of the best shooters in the lottery (McLemore, Burke, KCP, Karasev, Bennett) are all shooting under 40%, and some are way under.
Does anyone want to make a case for someone other then Carter-Williams? He's been a big surprise to me.

Re: Rookie of the Year
MCW's the clear favorite right now. He's got everyone's attention with big wins over Miami and Chicago. The Sixers as a team have been a huge surprise. I didn't think MCW could score, but wow he put in good work before the season. Almost makes Philly look smart for trading away Holliday, a move I didn't like at ALL.
Still think Oladipo is the best rookie in the class and as the season goes on, he'll get better. Sleeper rookies are Steve Adams and Nate Wolters. Wolters has been pretty damn good under the radar. Adams has shown the high potential in several games and I wonder if he'll beat out Perkins at some point for starting center. In my opinion, he's way better than Perkins even right now.

Are you pandering to KiwiMatt with that Adams reference, Cam? :D
Actually I agree with you...Adams has looked better than I thought he would at first.

I've always been on the Adams bandwagon! Just not as vocal as KiwiMatt. An 18-year old kid with the body, strength, athleticism and hand size that he has... Yeah, I'm a fan. Lol pre-draft I really wanted either Adams or Dieng as our backup center after the draftt. We got one of my guys :D
