Game thoughts

Post by worldK »

After 2 bad losses and morale being down, tonights blowout win vs kg's nets is much needed.

You could tell where this game is going from the start, love was pulling down rebounds like crazy in the first. One thing I observed tonight that could be used in the future..

JJ playing with the starters and rubio playing early in the 2nd quarter with the bench.

Rubio got 2 quick fouls and jj played majority of the 1st with the starters. I noticed jj played much better and in control with the starters. He wasnt trying to play hero ball and he was effective as a 3rd or 4th scoring threat with love, martin and pek in there.

Rubio played the majority of the 2nd quarter with some bench players and starters and we played well. I think thats something we could look into in the future, with jj subbing in for rubio in the first instead of martin, then have rubio come in early in the 2nd to run the team with jj playing off the ball.

This could be a good strategy as rubio is good at pushing the tempo which the 2nd unit must do and letting rubio spend time with bench players might help them get their act together.

Thought it was funny that the one time the game got a bit close in the 2nd half, 16 point lead I think, KG went fake thug on K-Love, getting the flagrant and the tech. That gave us a 6 point possession and the game was out of hand about a minute later.

A sad, but sort of fitting, end to KG's run at Target Center.

Amen. You take the good with the bad with KG, sadly there isn't much of the good left in them old bones.

Sad indeed. You could tell paul pierce is almost done as a player as well. Im reminded of their childish behavior towards allen when allen left boston last season to chase another title. Nevertheless, Kg is still the best wolf in franchise history and is a sure hall of famer but its time to call it quits after the season i believe.
