You cannot write about sports with any regularity without having a few of those types of articles among the bones in your closet. At the time of the Brewer signing I think it's fair to say that people's reaction varied from Meh to Hate It, those who absolutely loved the signing were few and far between. Hats off to Brewer for coming in and focusing on exactly what the Wolves needed from the SF position!

That signing at that price might be one of the best signings at the best price that the NBA saw last summer.

I liked him as a player. I was thinking we paid to much and were bidding against ourselves. He certainly is a good fit and is earning his contract. I thought he should come off the bench, but he really helps us get going from the start.

I was just thinking the other day how many frequent posters really questioned Flip's off-season... everything from wanting AK47 signed at 7 mil for 3 years to questioning Martin and Brewer vs. the alternatives to wanting McCollum drafted for the 2. About the only thing that didn't get panned much was the Pek signing and so far, it's been the least valuable - though I still really like it. Obviously, the draft grade is still TBD, but clearly McCollum is more of a question now than then and we don't need him at the 2 so bad (he might well be better than Shved though).
Injuries in the future can change a lot of things, but right now both Martin and Brewer have to be A's at the rate we paid.

Yet more reason why we should LOVE Corey Brewer.

Watch how many of those outlet passes are going to him. He's like our Calvin Johnson.
