So glad you started a game thread for today's game. I'm booked up tonight so won't be able to watch, so I want to be able to read some analysis from the great basketball minds on this board when I get home.

It's a rematch with the D-league all stars, and that will be a tough test for the Summer League Wolves. The D-Leaguers haven't lost yet, and aren't as starry-eyed as some of the less experienced teams. Shabazz and Dieng looked like deer in the headlights in the first game...let's hope they are starting to feel more comfortable with the pace of the pro game second time around.

Yeah, the Wolves really should have won that first game against the D-Leaguers. The Wolves missing half their FTs gave them a chance to make a comeback. And you are right -- Shabazz and Dieng looked a bit overwhelmed, especially Dieng.

It's not any easy game, but I like our chances to continue our playoff run!

I think both Shabazz and Dieng will play better each game. Nervousness, speed transition and perhaps trying to hard has hampered both early on. But Shabazz was much more composed last game, good sign especially with his range and catch and shoot.

Early observations include the Wolves with poor shot selection inside the arc, Shabazz looking aggressive, and our guards lack the ability to penetrate. I'm not a fan of Kee Kee Clark or Othyus Jeffers.

I take back what I said about Clark. He can score and looks good doing it. Still don't like Jeffers.

Shabazz looked good dribbling around a screen to his right for an open look. All his shots look good, but nothing down as of yet. Subbed out midway through first.

Paul hasn't played yet.

D-League team moves the ball real well and Brian Butch can really drop threes from that corner. He's stretching the Wolves too far.

I know it is just summer league, but these refs suck, it is hardly watchable with a foul every possession

Somewhat interesting interview with Glen Taylor during the second period. He's basically rehashing all the same things everyone else has talked about; improving three point shooting, health, team defense, etc. He also spoke about how they aren't looking for people to come in and be a star, but rather for the new guys to develop into solid role players this season. He also said he wouldn't hire Flip until Flip talked with Adelman. Apparently those two hit it off right away and were on the same page as far as the needs of the team and the subsequent moves they've made.

When asked about Pek, Glen said he thinks both sides know Pek will be playing for the Wolves, and while Pek's camp has counter offered, they have a meeting in the future to hash things out. It's only a matter of time.
