We dumped Corey Brewer
SVG says I can do better than that... He just waived Josh Smith, who has 26 mil remaining on his contract after THIS season!

Ben Gordon
Charlie Villanueva
Josh Smith
Three contracts that ended Dumars' reign as one of the most respected GMs.
Smith would be a good player if he would just play to his strengths, but he's one of those guys whose view of himself is just so far from the player he actually is that he'll always be a disappointment compared to his actual talent.

SVG is a man. That is bold.
Re: We dumped Corey Brewer
Hoopshype has him at 14mil for two seasons after this one. Where did you get the 26 figure from Tim?
Do the wolves have cap space to make a bid on him after the waiver deadline?
Maybe we should have offered up Bud and Thad for him.

It's the figure Marc Stein tweeted. I suppose it could be wrong...
Either way, I agree with Bleed - SVG has some balls.
Would anyone have considered trading Pek for Smith?!?

Read that other teams wanted a first to take him. I think I would have given up the first and saved myself almost 40 mil. The pistons owner is clearly committed to improving their team.

I would have jumped all over that Tim.

The only team Josh Smith would really fit on would be, like, OKC, where he couldn't justifiably look for his own shot because Westbrook and Durant are taking them all and he could focus on defense. He's seriously not worth it.

Two years ago...
Josh Smith was in the top 5 for shooting percentage within 10 feet of the hoop.
He was in the bottom 5 for shooting percentages outside 10 feet of the hoop.
So, where do you think he took the majority of his shots?
What made it worse? Detroit REWARDED him for this with $54M! They deserve this. By the way, Smith does so many things pretty well... when he's engaged and willing.

Heh, in 8 minutes of 1st half action, Brewer scores 10 points on 4-6 shooting, including 2-3 from beyond the arc (WTF!?), to go along with 3 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2 steals. He was a +21 in that brief time period.
Un-be-lieve-able!
I don't know if I should be happy or pissed. I think I'll just curl up into a ball and rock back and forth.
