Wolves record if they had stayed healthy
The Wolves have been without a majority of its starters for most of the season, and the result is a predictable 4-13, and much hand-wringing about the direction of the franchise. But is our performance the past month a real indication of where Flip is taking this franchise? What do you think the Wolves' record would be going into today's Houston game if they were completely healthy? ! say:
Memphis: L
Detroit W
Chi L
Nets W
Magic W
Heat W
Hous L
NO L
Dal L
Knicks W
Spurs L
Kings W
Bucks W
LAL W
Port L
Clips L
76ers W
That's 9-8, a game behind the Suns for the 8th playoff spot, and less apathy on this board. What say you?

I voted 8-9. I agree with all of your W/L with the exception of Miami. I believe we lose to them as well.

9-8 is probably the right projection, whether it was a win against Miami or a win against New Orleans.

Abe, tell us which three of my projected wins you see as losses...Miami, Sacramento and Milwaukee? Are you saying that after taking two elite teams like Memphis and Chicago down to the wire, and likely only losing because of dubious calls (yes, Butler did travel), we're going to lose all three of those games...and two of them at home? Maybe, but unlikely.

You're working in a vacuum. That's impossible (or dangerous) to do with pro sports. Because one thing happens differently... it's very likely a series of different events will transpire. It's not as easy as plugging in (A) to equal (Z).
I don't think the Wolves win at Miami immediately following the Orlando game. A young team on the last night of its first road trip of the season feeling great about surpassing early season expectations... anecdotal NBA history tells us that the Wolves lose that game vs. a pretty decent team more often than not.
The Kings and Bucks games? I dunno. I can see them winning one of those games.
I think the Wolves were in a good position vs. Orlando. But I had this team pegged as a 55-loss team for a reason before the season. It's still not very good. Truth is, they have been getting blown out regularly. Have the injuries impacted that? Definitely. But it doesn't automatically mean those blowouts become wins or even close games with the starters.

I agree with Abe 100% who knows and who cares, injuries are apart of the game. Do we beat the Lakers when lavine wouldn't have played a second in the game. Who knows we are what we are, possibly average team when fully healthy, but they are never healthy so who cares

Yeah, I kind of agree with Kekgeek. While we've been hit harder than most with injuries, we certainly aren't the only team who has had some problems. Heck, look at Houston. Harden and Ariza are the only starters that have been available every game. Howard has missed nearly half of their games, Beverley has missed more than half, and Terrence Jones has missed nearly every game. That's three out of their four starters. Yet here they sit at 14-4. So I guess they might be 18-0 if they were perfectly healthy? I doubt it....
Perhaps it would have been 7 or 8 wins if we had stayed perfectly healthy, but that's living in a dream world that just doesn't exist in the NBA.

We've been hit with SOME injury problems? Way to sell that issue short, Q. At one point we were without four of five starters + a reserve big man. Good luck to any team trying to win with that.
