Keep the depression coming - Wolves at Blazers GDT

Post by 60WinTim »

Since the depression theme worked so well against the Lakers, we'll continue it tonight.

Apparently Wiggins is ill and will be a game time decision. An IV did wonders for Brewer and Martin a few games ago, maybe it'll work for Wiggins, too!

Otherwise, it's kind of depressing if he does not play. Bud and/or Bazz will be seeing a bunch more minutes!

I wonder if Adrien will be dressed tonight?

It will be a bummer if wiggins cant play tonight. His development has been one of the things to watch this season so you like to see him every game especially when your missing 3 of your top 4 players.

Blazers has been playing very well this season. Wes mathews always kills us when we played them but brewer has had success vs him in the past. Interested to see how lavine follow up his 28pt game.

Portland bugs the hell out of me, especially Wes Matthews. Anything he throws up beyond the arc goes in against the Wolves (and most other teams for that matter). Put Brewer on Batum, who has struggled so far this season, and tell Wiggins to force Matthews to put it on the floor. Brewer doesn't have the discipline to stay up on him....Too busy gambling.

The other thing that bugs me about Portland is their good health. Four out of their five starters last year (the exact same five starters they have this year by the way) played in all 82 games. LMA played in 60-some. And so far this year they have been very healthy as well. Having a stable, healthy starting lineup that transcends multiple seasons is the main reason they are so damn good.

Meanwhile, the Wolves have to take M.A.S.H. unit on the road with them to cope with all the injuries, illnesses, and plagues that follow us around.

Portland has had a few years during the roy-oden era where they had as many injury and bad luck as we had the past few seasons. Hopefully we can have that karma reversed in a few years when the players will be at their prime age.

I suppose if Portland is going to continue to miss the wide open 3s we are giving them, we got a chance!

Thad doesn't look anything like the player he was to start the season.

Looks like its going to be another shootout game. There were a lot of criticism towards mo early in the season, but the way things are rignt now for us, the only chance we have at winning is if mo plays well.

From the few Portland games I've seen, Chris Kaman has been playing very well.

Any discussion of bad luck with injuries has to include Bill Walton.

Complete reversal of last season. Kaman was in a bad situation and played like it. He grabbed the ball and shot it. Always.

He has a clear role and obvious expectations and respect from the coaches in Portland. And he's thriving as a result, even in limited minutes.
