Team USA
While it wasn't a major reason why Love didn't play for Team USA, can we agree that its smart he doesn't play until a deal is done. Paul George just snapped his ankle/shin area in half playing in the scrimmage tonight. If Love got hurt like that, there would be no deal and he'd miss the whole year and leave.

Re: Team USA
Was thinking how that would have been just Minnesota's luck if that had been Love. It's a selfish thought, but I'm glad Love wasn't out there. Hope Paul George's injury wasn't as bad as it looked, but I'm not optimistic for him. Looks like he's out for at least a year. Can we just have one NBA season where all the prominent players in the league are healthy and can compete?

I couldn't bring myself to watch it. Damn.

Wow, that's too bad. Oof.
Re: Team USA
That looks bad. You never want to see players get hurt especially seriously hurt like that. This actually affects team usa. There is no other player there that can play george's would be role for the team as the long athletic wing defender starting alongside durant. This will have an impact on the team.

Time to put Klay's D to the test. He's the only one who would be remotely close to George's defensive impact. I wouldn't be surprised if Parsons makes the team now.

USA will be fine talent-wise even without George. We're by far the best country for basketball and it's not even close. Plug in Korver/Hayward/Parsons/Thompson and keep it rolling.
I'm more upset for George, though. He's not one of my favorite players, but I hate to see an injury like that for any athlete.

the heck with the team this injury looks like it could potentially setback/derail George's career (which i hope it doesn't). The video is cringeworthy to say the least

Wonder if that will force a change to how those stanchions are made.

Cam I agree that we will be fine talent wise. But george gives usa a significant advantage and is a weapon for us because of his size, d, shooting and athletecism. His absence will change the game plan for us. He and durant as the starting forwards would give us height and size there. Not to mention you can play him at the four and usa is short on bigs. Parsons/hayward probably makes the team to replace george and that is a downgrade for me.
