Here's a rumor from ESPN. Would anyone take a flier on him for a cheap deal if we decide to go young with Wiggins and crew? He could be another option to backup Ricky with room to grow.
"The Austin Rivers experiment in New Orleans could soon be coming to an end.
Rivers hasn't played like a lottery pick in his two years with the Pelicans, and according to Grantland's Zach Lowe there's a chance the former Duke standout will not get an opportunity for a third year in New Orleans.
"Several league sources say Pelicans considering waiving A. Rivers via stretch provision to complete Asik trade," Lowe tweeted on Friday.
It'll be interesting to see where Rivers lands if he is in fact waived, because he did manage to make improvements across the board last season, raising his PER from 5.95 to 11.60 and his true shooting percentage from 43.1 to 48.2. At this point in his career, though, Rivers looks to be more of a backup than a starter in this league."

Doc is the clippers gm as well as coach. He will give his son a shot no doubt.

No player has ever benefited more from having a famous dad...and having made one clutch shot in college. No thanks.
Re: Austin Rivers
Can't we find some random bigs that are terrible to get excited about instead of wing players?
