What is bosh waiting for?
Rockets' maximum contract offer of four years, $88... Are you kidding me lol.. 22M a year for bosh talk about over paying.... Can the heat even come close to that deal?
Re: What is bosh waiting for?
I was thinking the same thing. I liked his play last year but a max contract is crazy. He should be laughing all the way to the bank.

I agree... I would be very mad if i was a rocket fan.. They could get a way better player then bosh for that kind of money..Or better yet they could get 2 very good players for around 12MPer...

Bosh by himself may not be a max player but Houston needs to offer that deal to him. Having Bosh space the floor to give Howard and Harden room to operate could make that team deadly. If the Rockets are willing to go way into the tax they could retain Parsons and be a dominate force in a stacked Western Conference IMO

Bosh is a prefect fit in Houston. He would be a leader. He can play off Harden. It would be a beautiful thing.

I agree with Volans. There is this tendency among fans to peg a player's value in a vacuum. But a player's value varies depending on the team and the team's circumstances -- the player's importance to that team and how well the player fits on that team, the availability of other comparable FAs to fit that precise need as well or better..
Bosh is a max contract player on the Rockets because of how he fits and what he means to that team under their current circumstances.. It's not just his ability to spread the floor. It's also how he complements their other big guy, Howard. Bosh is a more athletic, finesse-oriented player who will complement Howard's power game. In addition, Bosh provides that final piece to round out a team on the cusp of challenging for the Western Conference title. There are no other current free agents nearly as good as Bosh who can fill Houston's vacancy at PF.
I hope Bosh turns down the offer and goes back to the Heat because that will likely cause Houston to pursue a deal with the Wolves for Kevin Love. So it's in our interest as Wolves fans to see Bosh turn down the Rockets' lucrative offer. I think Bosh will end up back in Miami on deal at around $15 million per year if and only if LeBron re-signs with the Heat. Right now, I'm 50-50 on whether LeBron stays in Miami or returns to the Cavs. I think LeBron will choose one of those two options.

I believe they need to get rid of Lin and other small pieces to make room

Bosh is waiting for a couple things. He's waiting for the best player on the planet to decide where he wants to play because no matter who the Rockets have, playing with Lebron is 100 times better and much more likely to lead to titles. Houston doesn't even have the cap space to offer him that deal officially yet. They still have to dump salary to open the space to offer it. Finally, nothing can become official until Thursday anyway, so why is he going to commit now? He wants to stay in Miami with Lebron, but if Lebron goes elsewhere he'll go to Houston pending Parsons doesn't sign an offer sheet most of the cap space needed to offer a max deal.

There are reports that they have a Lin plus some pick to the Sixers all lined up, just waiting on a commitment from a FA to pull the trigger

Lin leaving isn't enough to clear max cap space. He's only something like 8.3 against the cap. Windhorst mentioned on ESPN it would take 2-3 deals to actually clear the cap space to be able to back up a max offer to Bosh. They could probably find a way to do it, but for now they don't have the space to do it, which they won't create without a verbal agreement from Bosh, which he won't provide unless Lebron leaves Miami. I would be down for taking Donatas off their hands for nothing if that creates the last bit of cap space they need to get to the max offer.
