This team needs a new HEAD-COACH!

Post by quincy33 [enjin:7934959] »

i know what it takes to win an NBA TITLE. & it has alot to do with coaching.

1st off why doesnt SHABAZZ get more time than he has? Why hasnt Hummel played got any burn over DANTE?

Barea isnt paired up enough with rubio. Hardly ever no pick and rolls. No zone defense.

This team needs a MEAN head coach who will get into players faces when their sucking. Adelman is just way too soft on guys.

I think a jerry sloan or even a avery johnson or maybe a eduardo najera would be a good fit here. This team knows nothing about defense. I dont even see one assistant head coach on this team that preaches defense.

either fire adelman or bring someone who knows a lick about defense to be his assistant.

I would love Hoiberg as the coach. I have a feeling he isn't ready to give up a good thing he has going there.

Hoiberg's salary at ISU: $1.5 million

Adelman's salary: $5 million

Not to mention that college coaching is arguably more difficult than pro coaching, in that you have to be on the road all off-season recruiting.

If Freddie has a good thing going in Ames, he'd have a great thing going in Minneapolis. Maybe he wouldn't get Adelman's salary right away, but if the Wolves performed better under him, he'd get there (and beyond) quickly.

If Glen Taylor comes calling, Freddie would be crazy to pass up $3.5 million just to stay in beautiful Ames, Iowa.

Freddie seems to be a guy that doesn't think $'s first. Reminds me a little of coach Taylor on FNLs.

You could be right, bleed, but it would really be a unique guy who would turn his back on an extra $3 1/2 million a year. I also see him as a family guy, and while NBA coaches essentially have the summer off to spend with their families, while college coaches spend their summers in airports and recruits' living rooms.

Whether it's money or family that drives Hoiberg, or the personal pride of coaching at the highest level, I think he'll be coaching the Wolves if Taylor asks him. Time will tell if Glen/Flip think he is the right guy though. Maybe they want to shake things up with a guy who has a more fiery personality.

I'll be very interested in how The Mayor and his Cyclones do in the tourney. A couple wins could generate a call from Taylor.
