Straight from Woj
14 mil a year, third year player option.
I must say, not bad and I sure as hell wasn't expecting it.
Solid work, TC.

A little higher than I wanted but I’m not complaining. Feels fair all around

Hmmm…sign and trade, or bye bye KAT?

Yeah, we've got a TON of money invested in bigs, sheesh!
But I get it...It gives the front office maximum flexibility for future deals while hanging onto one of the few Wolves developmental "rags to riches" success stories in franchise history.

Great news - contending teams need a guy like NAZ. We have more depth than the Suns and many other top teams. This makes my day.

TC doesn't fart around, does he?!?
I gotta think something big is coming down the pipe, because I don't think we have a chance of staying of the luxury tax this year, let along 2024! My guess would be bye-bye KAT. But maybe TC has something lined up for Rudy? Sure seems like something has to give.

100%. Don't let this guy walk for nothing. He's an asset. We have plenty of good bigs now and obviously some might be available for trade if the price is right. Thumbs up!Coolbreeze44 wrote: ↑Sun Jun 25, 2023 3:54 pm Great news - contending teams need a guy like NAZ. We have more depth than the Suns and many other top teams. This makes my day.

Hmm... I may have jumped the gun on the luxury tax for 2023. NAW can be re-signed for somewhere between 5 and 6 mil and the Wolves will be under the luxury tax with 14 players signed.

Woo hoo! This ultimately keeps the options open with what to do with KAT, Rudy and Naz. I doubt all 3 finish their contract in Minnesota. Naz plays well with Ant and is his salary will be much more appetizing going forward. Time for TC to determine the best salary vs production.

Good stuff. I appreciate the salary cap updates. I hope they bring back NAW. He showed me enough last year to be worth $5-$6M/year. I'd much rather see minutes go to guys with some potential upside vs. 30 year old guys like Bryan Forbes or Austin Rivers.
