Zion’s out tonight
Zion’s out tonight
I don’t start game day threads, but I just saw that the Pelicans are resting Zion tonight.

Must take advantage. I predicted a 4-1 road trip, hope to see it happen.

Re: Zion’s out tonight
This is starting to feel a lot like 2021-22, when seemingly every night we faced an opponent missing key players (and often their best player). We won 46 games that year with a team I believed was only average talent -wise. This year we're having the same good fortune, but this time we're doing it with a much more talented team. Already this season we have avoided Butler, White, Curry, Klay, Green, Beal and Zion and McCollum twice...that's 10 key players missing in only 11 games! Meanwhile, we have only missed Jaden for a couple games (and JMac, but he wasn't really getting minutes anyway). On NBA radio this morning, Brian Geltzeiller and Sam Mitchell agreed that the Wolves looked really good, and more importantly, that their success looked sustainable. Makes sense to me...hot shooting isn't always sustainable, but elite defense is. If we stay healthy, I think we're looking at 55+ wins.
