Finch Appreciation Thread

Post by Carlos Danger »

Best winning percentage of any Wolves coach (by a long shot). Has had a winning season in every full year he's coached. With three games to go, he still has a shot at tying the Franchise record of 58 wins in a single season.

I always give a ton of credit to Rudy for changing the defensive mentality of this team. But certainly Finch deserves a great deal of credit too. I also like his over all demeanor. He's not arrogant, or loud (Thibs!). He seems like a normal dude. So happy he landed here.

For all the hate Rosas gets we have to remember he drafted ANT and Jaden, and hired Finch. Without those moves this team could still be the dumpster fire we're used to.

Excited to see how Finch handles the playoffs. Always say what makes Spolestra the greatest coach in the Association is his ability to switch game plans in playoff series so seamlessly. I hope Finch is able to adapt in the same way.

I agree. Rosas was the one that really started to right the ship. I'd even argue that the trade that brought DLO to us was an incremental step in the right direction.

Finch now has best Playoff winning percentage of all Timberwolves coaches. Full disclaimer - it's not a long list

Tom Thibodeau. 1-4 (.200)
Flip Saunders..17-30 (.362)
Chris Finch..... 5-8 (.385)

So there is that!

Hilarious. The bar is comically low.

Yeah, but the bar could be VERY high by the end of these playoffs! Just sayin'...

Win or lose game 7, the coaching battle this series has me completely behind Chris Finch from now on. I feel dumb as before the start of the season I questioned whether he was assertive enough to lead a tough, resilient team lol
