2024 Free Agency GDT
Rather than clutter up the "Wolves Free Agency" thread, let's through non-Wolves free agent signings and rumors here...
Re: 2024 Free Agency GDT
Thanks Tim! I don't want SloMo back. He hurts our offense too much. But I'm also very leery about handing the bench keys over to Dillingham. I'm hoping we can get a vet PG that is willing to sign for the minimum (Monte?) and basically use that player as a constant threat to Dillingham, meaning he isn't just handed the 2nd string minutes at PG.
Also praying that Nic Batum takes a discount and drops into our lap with an assist from French National teammate Rudy Gobert. That'd be a real gift!

Yeah, Batum would be a sneaky good signing by TC.Q-is-here wrote: ↑Sun Jun 30, 2024 3:32 pm Thanks Tim! I don't want SloMo back. He hurts our offense too much. If the team is willing to pay the salary, they should bring SloMo back. There will be no other way to create that salary and he could eventually be traded for an equal or lesser salary.

Re: 2024 Free Agency GDT
Right, but it comes at a cost in terms of the luxury tax bill, no? In addition, we need to move on from him. He helped us graduate to a legit playoff team, but his unwillingness and inability to shoot the 3 in an absolute killer in the playoffs. It mucks up our half court and none of the other stuff he does well makes up for the issues he creates with his inability to shoot.
We need other guys to step up and start being the adults in the room and help settle us down in half court sets. We still have Mommy and Daddy in Conley and Rudy, but wise old Uncle SloMo needs to go.

Re: 2024 Free Agency GDT
Warriors really wanted to find a trade partner for CP3 so they could maintain that salary slot. Aww shucks!
