KG is a hall of famer who won a title. Edwards hasn't won anything yet. Its a joke that there is a thread hyping up Ant. Ant is a very good player but he's not won shit and KG never had anyone as skilled as KAT to play his prime years with. Enough with the stupid threads on this forum. Well, on further thought, keep up with the dumb posts like the Wolves won the KAT trade as I need a good laugh reading the ridiculousness here.

And KG had shit for teammates in Minnesota. Ant had KAT, Rudy, Jaden etc and whatever else TC could get for six future draft picks. Meanwhile, GT threw away a bunch of firsts in the Joe Smith fiasco. KG goes to Boston and its a title.

Ant will never be in KG's class unless he wins a title, so there is no but for now. So let me know when and if that happens.

KG was similar to Butler in that he wanted to win but also wasn't a personality that worked well with all players. One of those players was Marbury that we could have used long term with KG. Ant is 23 so he certainly has some time, KG was around 30 when he won his title. 15 months ago everyone around the league was saying oh Tatum is a bum the Celtics need to trade him because they can't win with him.

I don't think they "won" the trade, it was a net neutral to still a slight positive. Maybe both teams won, although I see KAT never winning it all so you could argue the Knicks lost for sure, but were going to lose either way. KAT simply makes too much money for this team so they had to make a decision. Either he goes or several other players do (Naz, NAW, DDV,). So I think they made the right decision for the long term upside.

The question is would you rather have Naz, NAW and DDV over the next 3-4 years or KAT? Honestly it's not even close for me. Even though both Naz and DDV have underperformed, I look forward to resigning both Naz and NAW. Randle will be gone soon enough opening up the roster and floor for the others who could contirbute to a winning team. Still have high long term hopes for Minott, Dilly and TSJ. Garza could even be a 8th/9th man with some more development.

KAT to be 100 has continually not proven himself either, in fact quite the opposite. You say Ant hasn't, well what did KAT do for 9 years? Two good playoff series in 9 years. The rest were absolute horseshit. Ant has outperformed KAT by a wide margin when the games matter.

LOL. It was horrific trade. Lets not even pretend it was positive. Randle has negative value. It makes no sense to give up all our first round picks save one for Gobert and Dilly and then trade KAT for garbage to get out of a financial situation that TC put us in. TC, since taking over as GM here, has been a disaster. Fukk him and the other bozo in charge.

KAT is healthy now and not playing out of position and he's putting up top ten offensive stats and his plus/minus stats are better than any Wolf. He never was appreciated much by this clownboard.

You never answered the question. To keep KAT you then must next year remove NAW, Naz and DDV (plus Detroits pick). It's not a KAT plus everyone else, it's a KAT minus everyone else. The contract of KATs is an albatross itself. You also ignored the fact that his playoff numbers and performances in totality are trash. Credit he played good against PHO and DEN. What about the other trash performances like in the Mavs series and other 8 years of either missed playoffs or trash performances?

You should be bringing up the only worse playoff performer is Randle then KAT. He's gone hopefully soon though.
