Donte out hurt

Post by kekgeek »

Donte out Friday with a toe sprain.

I’ll be curious who gets his minutes. Is it Dilly, is it ingles, more Minott, does Clark have a chance. Or does Finch just play 7 guys.

Stinks TSJ is out

Give the hungry defensive guy a shot along with Dillingham.

My worry is that Finch is gonna lean on another vet and play Ingles

That's really a shame...Donte was our best player last night. Rob was just recalled from Iowa, so I expect he will see some PG minutes tomorrow. My guess is Mike will start and Rob will back him up.

Dillingham was pretty bad in his two rehab stints in Iowa, but I guess we really don't have anything to lose by playing him at this point.

Bummer to lose Donte for any stretch of games now just when he’s finally hitting his stride. Hope he gets back soon. And what terrible timing to see Donte miss a game or more at the same time TSJ goes down. This would have been the perfect opportunity to give TSJ some significant minutes.

I would expect Dilly to get significant minutes, but I agree with Q and others that Dilly just doesn’t look ready.

Heard yesterday it's a toe sprain? And this is what they said about that...

Mild - 2 weeks.
Severe - 5 weeks or more.

[Note: Quick search shows that Desmond Bane missed 17 games and later needed surgery... and Brandon Ingram missed 29 games back in 2022 with toe sprains.]

The Wolves released an update on Donte:

Looks like they decided it is a partial tear and will not require surgery. He will be re-evaluated in 3 weeks.

That seems like positive news. He could be back for the Finals push with room to spare.
