Jaden’s Improvement

Post by Sundog »

I saw these stats on social media, and they match the eye test and what a lot of you have been saying here:

Jaden’s 3pt shooting, rebounding, and plus minus has improved every month.

October: 18.2 3pt%, 2.8r, -2.5
November: 30.8 3pt%, 4r, -2.4
December: 32.6 3pt%, 5.8r, -0.2
January: 40 3pt%, 6r,+3.6

The rebounding and interior scoring has definitely been noticeable and will hopefully be his path from now on.

Good info, sundog...thanks. I looked up his splits on ESPN, and the improvement goes even further. Free throw %, blocks, steals, and PPG are all up in January, and turnovers and fouls are down. He just seems to be playing with a lot more confidence. I think I heard we have the 6th best offense in January, and Jaden is a big reason for that. Keep it up!

Pippenesque.

I know people want to dump him (he played extra trash at times this season to be fair) but I think he turns his game around the second half of the season. Maybe not HOF top 50 player level, but still supa nice.

I also don't forget he was lockdown in the playoffs last year too and shot the ball great for many games. Just want to say I see great things coming for him.

He was simply in a slump and a bad one. His rebounding has been tremendous also. I'm not sure if he shoots this well the rest of the year, but I see his defense and rebounding being there every night.

Good for you Wolvesfan! I also said that he was just in a slump and once he came out of it he would return to being a top 75 player. People are quick to bury guys that are struggling, sometimes patience is key.

Yep, I'll bet on past long term performance history over the short term every time. I gotta reiterate though, I love seeing his rebounding take a jump this past month and change. This is what we needed from him on defense and where I was critical of his All Defensive team type of accolades. I just don't think you can be considered an elite defender being a bad rebounder. That's the ultimate goal of defense. Make them miss, but also get the damn ball!

Now I'd love to see Naz jump up his rebounding also!
