Great to hear!

I think Ant’s pathway to greatness isn’t just his jaw-dropping athleticism. It’s combining it with his desire to be great by asking questions. I loved how he was constantly asking Rubio,Pat Bev and Conley how to be better. At the Olympics, he was constantly questioning his superstar teammates about everything, from three pointers shooting footwork to LeBron’s off court preparations. He studied Tim Duncan videos to improve his footwork in the post. He asked freakin’ Luka Garza how to do that slow-step!

I’m sure getting advice from Jordan is the highest of bars, but Ant will talk to anyone if they can improve his game. It’s very rare to see a 23 year old that is wise enough to ask questions, and even rarer when everyone tells that 23 year old what a stud he is - for him to just shut up and listen. To me, this is what gives Ant the chance to become a HOF player.

I agree. Another impressive thing about Ant is how he made himself into an elite NBA three-point shooter after coming out of college as a talented player whose weakness was perimeter shooting. It shows he wants to improve and that he’s willing to put in the work to get better in areas where he’s weak. He’s in his 5th season, but he’s barely 23 years old. He’s already an all-star and he’ll keep getting better. It will also help if he can have continuity around him on the roster and not face a parade of different head coaches and an ever-changing roster of players around him - things Towns had to deal with.

Speaking of Michael Jordan, he wasn’t on track for his first three rings until the Wolves drafted Pippen and Grant and then allowed MJ to mesh over time with those two guys, John Paxon and Bill Cartwright. I think last summer’s draft of Dilly and TSJ will turn out to be almost as pivotal for Ant as the Pippen/Grant draft was for MJ’s Bulls. As I see it, Dilly and TSJ will combine with Jaden to form the core group that can develop with Ant into a sustainable championship contender. I can see Rudy as our Bill Cartwright and DDV as a key contributor as well.

I saw someone in a youtube video say that Tracy McGrady did the same thing reaching out to Jordan to figure out how to beat the zone defense. Always a smart decision to go to the best when you run into something you're having trouble figuring out.
