Coming Out Of The Wilderness - Rockets at Wolves GDT

Post by 60WinTim »

Okay, since the Wolves have no roster changes heading into tonight's game, I am coming out of the Wilderness. I had hoped for .500 ball; we got a 6-2 record! Those 2 losses were painful, but ANT missed one of them and was clearly subpar in the second one.

The Rockets are slumping with a couple of key guys out: FVV and Jabari Smith out, and Steven Adams and Eason doubtful. Needless to say, the Wolves need to take advantage of these next two games, because they might be staring down barrel of a six game losing streak after that!

I was surprised to see Houston favored earlier in the day by 1 1/2 missing 2 key starters, but now the Wolves are favored by the same 1 1/2. If Eason doesn't play, the Rockets will start nobody taller than 6'7" other than Sengun, so we have a nice height advantage with our front line. And their PGs are also short, so Rob may get some valuable minutes. The Rockets have lost 4 in a row including 2 to a bad Brooklyn team, so this is a winnable game...even without Donte and Ju. Ant, Naz and Jaden all played big minutes last night, but they're young...hopefully the back to back doesn't hurt us. We need this one.

I was wondering if they might sit Mike on a back-to-back. But, no, we have the same starting lineup as last night.

I think Jesse Edwards is available tonight. I wonder... It would be his first NBA minutes!

I'm loving the uptick of offensive rebounding. It's critical for a team that can fizzle on offense too often.

Really need Dillingham to give us some offensive punch tonight. Seems he's gone cold the last couple games.

Too many TOs. Several due to Jaden.

Yeah, we've been much quicker to the ball than Houston. Not used to seeing that from us.

J-Pete mentioning Clark's cutting. It's a real skill and he has it.
